Reading has always been a big part of Melissa's life. She actually started writing
her first book in the seventh grade as a way to escape and create worlds and
characters where she was in control. But the dream of one day being a published
author grew stronger over the years. The idea lingered in the back of her mind as
she gathered information, took in the scenery and quietly listened to everyone and
everything around her. Soon she started rewriting the endings of books and
movies, picking apart the plot and characters to satisfy her imagination. This is
when she decided to see where writing could take her. Now it is a passion. Only
once on paper will her stories and characters leave her alone. She can then focus
on family, friends and other activities. But it's not long before something she
reads, watches or lives pops another idea into her head that demands attention.
And it’s the funniest thing.
She kinda likes it!
